ADSL, ADSL2/2+ & SHDSL Services
DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) technology is OntheNet's core Broadband offering, catering to the demand for high speed, reliable Internet access and inter-office data networking.
OntheNet has been delivering Internet services to Gold Coast businesses for over 12 years, and has invested significantly in local infrastructure and staff. This allows for far greater control of the product and offers the reliability, performance and customer service that businesses expect.
OntheNet offers several types of Broadband Business services for business clients:
Business Broadband
Business Broadband starts at just $50/month and is available nationally at over 2700 exchanges, wherever ADSL is available. Coming standard with static IP addresses, businesses can run Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), web and mail servers from their premises. Speeds range from 256Kbps up to ADSL2+ speeds. (Note that ADSL2+ speeds are available in Queensland only, and may not be available in all locations). With optional failsafe services, businesses can experience additional network redundancy.

Premium Business Broadband
In certain areas OntheNet offers Premium Business Broadband. OntheNet's DSL hardware within key Gold Coast telephone exchanges allows services offering higher speeds for even more competitive prices. Premium Business Broadband plans start at $50/month.

Premium Business SHDSL
Symmetric services are also available and offer high outbound speeds. These are ideal for businesses needing to offer web content or database services to their remote offices or out to the Internet. Solutions such as remote terminal services, offsite data backup, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and Voice over IP (VoIP) are other examples of how businesses benefit from this technology.

Private Links VPN
Utilising DSL technology to connect multiple sites together via a Network based VPN, is OntheNet's core business offering. This service caters to the demand for faster inter-office communications and the growing need to share data across sites. Importantly it allows the business manager to implement networked systems for a fixed cost. Solutions such as remote terminal services, offsite data backup, security cameras and Voice over IP (VoIP) are examples of how businesses benefit from this technology. Reducing the need for high cost VPN hardware and the lack of variable data costs are significant advantages of this service.

Please note: With ADSL2+ the actual speed depends on the customer line quality and distance, internal building wiring, as well as the CPE used. The speed therefore can only be accurately determined once the service has been installed and tested. Newer ADSL2/2+ capable CPE are recommended to obtain speeds greater than 6Mbps. It is estimated that approximately 2/3 of customer locations should experience between 6 and 14 Mbps. OntheNet does not guarantee that higher speeds will be attainable in all cases.
